How can we make our ministry more visible? Members Jessie Brown, Susan Lloyd McGarry and Gayle Roby will be reading poems of spiritual and social witness in an unusual celebration.
Inspired in part by the “Testimonies” exhibit this winter, the Alewife poets are exploring the intersection of poetry and art. There will be a silent auction of some poem installations, as well as poster broadsides available showcasing the work of all three poets. Refreshments will be provided. All donations are optional; any proceeds will go toward the poets’ participation in an interdisciplinary workshop supporting such work.
Sponsored by the Peace and Social Concerns Committee and by Friends for Racial Justice, the reading is free and open to all. The writers hope that this ministry will draw people both from FMC and from outside Meeting. Please invite friends!
