Mother’s Day Walk for Peace–Sunday, May 14, 8:30 am

FMC’s Peace and Social Concerns Committee encourages Friends to participate in the Mother’s Day Walk for Peace. Our member Al Starr introduced us to this event in the 1990s, and we have been involved every year since. The 6.8-mile walk starts at 8:30 am at Town Field Park, Fields Corner, Dorchester, and ends at Boston’s City Hall after 2.5 to 3 hours. It raises funds for the Louis D Brown Peace Institute, a center for healing, teaching, and learning for families and communities impacted by murder, grief, tragedy, and loss. Register as part of the Friends Meeting at Cambridge team at mothersdaywalk4peace.org or use forms available at the Friends Center.
